Had my initial analysis with therapy last week and my first real session today. Fifteen minutes of traction hurt while it was happening but my back already feels better. Had to do lots of exercises, too. Have lots of exercises to do at home, oh joy. I wonder how sore I'll be tomorrow morning.
I go to the rheumatologist tomorrow and I'll give her my therapy schedule. She doesn't know I took this step without her but I couldn't take the pain anymore. She has most of my 'itises' under control so it was time to work on the back.
Design class is going along well and keeping me on my toes, trying to think outside the box when it comes to 2D design. The class keeps me from my own personal creative things, though. I can do something quick but anything taking longer than a few minutes doesn't happen.
My dolls still make me happy. They help me feel better when I'm not feeling well. I've even taken the step to start painting them. I did my first a few months ago and will start another when the weather gets dry again (lots of rain lately). The latest is a long-term project - he's a wolf and I will be slowly drawing and painting fur on his face and sections of his body.
Work is work. It's been less of a problem to deal with my bad health since the boss had his heart attack last year. He now knows first-hand what it's like to get exhausted doing almost nothing so he's stopped griping about me being sick.
rat and I are really happy and celebrated our 13th legal year together last Saturday.
We decided to get a new camera, a Nikon D5000 digital SLR for anniversary/Xmas/birthday. Everyone tells us we should have gotten a Canon since Nikons are more complicated. The thing has menus within menus within menus. I'm slowly learning my way around it but it's going to take months and months before I'm comfortable with it. I'm having to dredge up my mostly dead camera knowledge out of my lame brain to figure out some things. It's going to be a lot of trial and error. Luckily, I won't be burning film with my mistakes!
Thanks: --> to Lia, my sensei, who has inspired me to draw again. I
wouldn't be doing this without your support, Domo Arigato!
--> to Talon, for sending me her fabulous fics, inspiring me with her writing to draw my first
illustration for a story and actually liking what I drew.
--> to Dasia, for her words of encouragement when drawing her original chara.
--> to Joules, a wonderful epic fic writer, for liking my art enough to want to post them with Talon's
and her own stories.
--> to Lutra, the other half of the epic team, for being so supportive.
--> to Jacque' & Becca Raddittzu, we met on eBay as bidder and sellers and now we are face-to-face
friends. You showed us the real DBZ with your fansubs. It's all your fault the house is full of
doujinshi! *LOL*
